Important Sunday School Kalolsavam Announcement
For our Sunday School children, our Church Kalolsavam will be conducted on Saturday 27th April 2024 following the Holy Qurbana.
Who can participate?
Our Sunday School children who are between 5 years to 17 years of age as of 31st January 2024 are eligible to participate in Kalolsavam 2024. The participants would be competing in the following age groups in the competitions –
a. Primary: Students of age 5 to 7 years as of 31st January 2024.
b. Sub-Junior: Students of age 8 to 10 years as of 31st January 2024.
c. Junior: Students of age 11 to 13 years as of 31st January 2024.
d. Senior: Students of age 14 to 17 years as of 31st January 2024.
For example, a child of age 7 years, 11 months as of 31st January 2024 would be competing in “Primary” as the child has not reached his/her 8th birthday on 31st January 2024. Similarly, a child of age 17 years and 11 months as of 31st January 2024, would be eligible to compete in “Seniors” as the child has not crossed his/her 18th birthday on 31st January 2024.
What all competition events shall be held as part of Kalolsavam?
a. Devotional Songs in Malayalam – Solo
b. Devotional Songs in English – Solo
A student will only be allowed to participate either in the Malayalam or English Devotional Song but not both.
c. Liturgical Hymns Malayalam – Group
d. Liturgical Hymns Syriac – Group
e. Elocution – English
f. Elocution – Malayalam
A student will only be allowed to participate in the Malayalam or English Elocution but not both.
g. Bible Test (for Sub Junior, Junior and Senior) – NRSV Bible only
h. Golden Verses (for Sub Junior, Junior and Senior)
Elocution Themes. (English and Malayalam both have the same themes.)
Primary: Prayer
Sub Junior: Obedience
Junior: 2 Corinthians 5:17
Senior: 1 Corinthians 1:25

How do I register my child for Church Kalolsavam?
You can register your child by completing a registration form. The link for this will be sent shortly. The last day for registration for the competition is 15th April 2024.
Please encourage your children to participate in the Kalolsavam. The 1st and 2nd prize winners will proudly represent our church in the Midlands Zonal Kalolsavam.
